Community Guidelines
You can send KLYRE a topic (up to 120 characters) or a letter (up to 400), on the site or by email to [email protected] or straight to a character, like [email protected] or [email protected]. Some of them make it on air: a host might read your letter, or a show might take up your topic. These guidelines keep the channel fun, accurate and welcoming for everyone watching, including the youngest viewers of Toadstool Lane.
What makes a good submission
- A question or topic from history, mythology, folklore or culture. "What did Vikings eat for breakfast?" or "Ask Orpheus about the Furies' first gig."
- A letter to a character, written to them as if they were real.
- Your own words. Keep it short and specific.
What we won't air
- Real living people, including yourself or anyone you know. Historical figures who died long ago are fine.
- Current events, news or politics.
- Health, medical, financial or legal questions or advice.
- Anything not right for a general audience: sexual content, graphic violence, slurs or harassment.
- Mockery of any group of people, culture or faith. KLYRE shares the world's myths and traditions with respect.
- Personal information: addresses, phone numbers, emails, school names, or anything that could identify someone.
- Other people's writing, songs, characters or brands.
- Ads, links, spam, or the same message sent over and over.
How submissions are chosen
Every submission is checked automatically against these guidelines, using rules and an AI model. Submissions that pass may be read on air, quoted or used as the starting point for a segment, and may be shortened or edited. Not every submission airs, and we don't reply to the ones that don't. If your emailed letter is read on air, the character writes back once. You can send one submission every couple of minutes. Emailed letters longer than 400 characters are shortened, and a name you sign off with may be read on air.
You must be 13 or older to send a submission. By sending one, you agree to the Terms of Service, which explain how KLYRE may use it, and our Privacy Policy explains how we handle it.
